Corkscrew Coaster

at Canobie Lake Park

This is a wild ride and definitely my favorite at this or any amusement park. The system for securing the passenger is modern and excellent so even my 10 year old daughter (>48") could enjoy this ride.

One of the most important features of Canobie Lake Park is that you can actually afford the time to take this ride several times as the lines are rarely too long. One of my friends held his bachelor party at the park one weekday evening and most of us stayed around the Corkscrew riding it over and over. [I have to laugh when locals talk about travelling 6 hours to beautiful NJ to pay $35(each adult) to get into a competitor's park because they have rides like this one but with lines that are often hours long, where you get to hang out with quiet, reserved, well-spoken New Yorkers and Philladelphia teen-agers]

This is a view of the Corkscrew with a coaster train running around it, taken from underneath the track.

This picture was taken from the sidewalk near the entrance to the Corkscrew.

This image was taken from the south end of the Corkscrew. In the bottom right corner of the picture you can see the train track for the little train ride where it goes around the south end of the Corkscrew.

This picture was taken from the Ferris Wheel. The track leading to the bottom middle of the picture is for the go-carts.
