| Amateur Radio Packet is a system for
transmitting blocks of text (or other data) between computers, via radio, in such a way
that the receiving computer doesn't use the text unless it is all correct. If
the text arrives intact, the receiving computer sends an acknowledgement back to the
sender. The sending computer knows that if it doesn't get an acknowledgement that it
must send the same text again. |
